Polymer Output Rose in Russia in Early 2014

CHEMMONITOR.COM - In January of 2014, Russian companies increased production of basic polymers by over 10% to almost 534,000 tonnes if compared with the same period in 2013. Polyethylene (PE) production jumped to about 79,700 tonnes, up by around 19%. Polystyrene (PS) production rose by almost 11% and achieved 42, 100 tonnes. Meanwhile, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) output scaled back by 3,4% to 58,700 tonnes.
