CHEMMONITOR.COM - The University of Delaware has implemented a research dedicated to the development of highly selective catalyst to transform greenhouse gases into chemicals. The efficiency of such transformation reaches 92%. The new catalyst developed by researchers from the university is to convert carbon dioxide (CO2) to carbon monoxide (CO) electrochemically. Then, CO will be employed in the manufacturing of synthetic fuels and will contribute to the reduction of industrial CO2 emissions by about 40%.
