Mineração Curimbaba Ltda. to Expand Its Bauxite Proppant Plant by Early 2016

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Brazil-based company active in blending and processing bauxite for the petrochemical industry, Mineração Curimbaba Ltda., is going to significantly expand its bauxite proppant plant located at Poços de Caldas site in Brazil. The company plans to raise the plant’s capacity by 70,000 tonnes per year by late 2015 – early 2016. Currently, Mineraçáo Curimbaba Ltda produces about 300,000 tonnes of ceramic proppants per year.

The company operates around 40 mining concessions and manufactures raw and calcined bauxite grades mainly for non-refractory markets.
