CHEMMONITOR.COM - Stable crop production in 2013 is likely to reinforce fertiliser consumption in 2014. Due to the supply/demand challenges, affecting each nutrient, fertiliser prices weakened in 2013.

Global potash demand rose to about 54 metric tons in 2013, while in 2012 it totaled 51 metric tons. The market instability, provoked by the Belarusian Potash Co. (Belarus) collapse in August, 2013, prevented further rebound.
