SANORS Initiates Operations at New Tert-Amyl-Methyl Ether (TAME) Facility

CHEMMONITOR.COM – On October 22, the Russian petrochemical holding company “SANORS” launched a new tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME) production unit with the yearly capacity of 300,000 tonnes. TAME is a high-octane gasoline additive.

The project costs exceed RUB 725 million (about USD 23.1 million).

The new TAME unit is located on the territory of the former isoprene manufacturing complex. The complex, laid up in September 2008, is owned by the “Novokuibyshevsk petrochemical company” (JSC “NPC”).
