Ukrainian Karpatneftekhim to Increase Competitiveness of Local Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Production

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The Ukrainian polyvinyl chloride (PVC) company with HQ in Kalush, Karpatneftekhim, addressed the country’s authorities to consider the anti-dumping issue concerning PVC imports from the USA and, moreover, to conduct the investigation into the imports. The investigation has been already started.

The imported material was estimated at lower values in the domestic market than in the US one. Through Q3 2011 –Q2 2012, the PVC imports enhanced by about 93.2% and US companies increased their shares by over 2 times, in the Ukrainian market.
