CHEMMONITOR.COM – Spot prices for methanol in the European market have lately shown an upward surge because of recent and current suspended operations at the facilities, which are temporary off stream due to planned outages in Sep-Oct. These circumstances entailed short-covering activities.

The values of the material were nominated by about 4.8% higher than in early October. The figure reached around EUR 311 per metric tons or USD 402 per metric ton on Free on Board (FOB) Rotterdam basis.
