Russian Methanol Producer Plans to Put up Its Own Carbamide Unit

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The Gubakha-headquartered Russian methanol and its derivatives company JSC Metafrax refused to buy carbamide manufacturer and plans to launch a construction of a plant at its site.

Currently, the company is in the process of negotiations with banks to raise capital.

Previously, Metafrax was considering ammonia and carbamide plants construction or an acquisition of existing production. The plant with the capacity of about 602,000 tonnes of carbamide was estimated at approximately EUR 700 million.
