New Graphite Unit to Go on Stream in Brazil

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The Contagem-headquartered Brazilian company Magnesita Refratarios will put up a new unit in Brazil. This facility will produce about 41,000 tonnes of graphite annually. The company utilizes the material in refractory products manufacturing.

Currently, the producer purchases graphite from the local companies and from Europe.

To construct the plant, the firm received a special licence.

The unit is likely to add about BRL 300 million or almost USD149 million the company’s profit.
