Benzene Inventories Showed Downward Surge in the European Market

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The European market is experiencing decreased benzene availability, what influences a backwardation between the product delivered this and next month, which is about USD 50 per metric ton.

The material was assessed at low USD 1,300s per metric ton on Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) Antwerp/Rotterdam/Amsterdam (ARA) basis.

Prices for the product in October were estimated between approximately USD 1,257-1272 per metric ton.

In July-August, some European producers were running their crackers at decreased rates of 72-82%.
