European Benzene Likely to Rise in Values in September

CHEMMONITOR.COM – Spot prices for benzene in Northwest Europe (NWE) market showed a downward surge in August. Lately, values fell to high USD 1,200s per metric ton. About 1,000 metric tons of benzene was sold at roughly USD 1,273 per metric ton on Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) Antwerp/Rotterdam/Amsterdam (ARA) basis.

European benzene prices on CIF ARA and Free on Board (FOB) Rotterdam bases were demonstrating instability throughout the month. The lowest figures registered in August on CIF ARA and FOB Rotterdam bases were around USD 1,265 per metric ton and USD 1,275 per metric ton respectively.
