CHEMMONITOR.COM – The international mining, oil and gas company BHP Billiton is considering the construction of a mine at Jansen site (Canada).

The local authorities hope for the start of the mine construction in the near future.

Meanwhile, the construction was not finally approved by the BHP Billiton’s board of governors.

Currently, the company is concentrated on the engineering studies before the project goes to the board of the directors.

The mine construction is a major project that is predicted to produce about 8.1 million tonnes per annum.
