CHEMMONITOR.COM – The Russia-headquartered manufacturer Eurochem projects to launch melamine production in April-June 2012 at its manufacturing site situated in Nevinnomyssk (Russia).

The company will generate 0.05 million tonnes per annum.

Spot prices for the product have moved down by approximately 43 percent within a 12-months period in Europe. The drop is explained by a demand decrease and availability surplus.

The demand is currently relatively stable, but low. However, some signs of its pickup are observed in the western part of the region, especially in Turkey.
