New Caustic Soda Plant to Be Built in India

CHEMMONITOR.COM – India-based caustic soda producer Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Limited (GACL) is going to raise its production capacities and to construct a caustic soda plant in Bhavnagar (Gujarat, India) and a 120 megawatt (MW) coal-based power plant in Dahej (Gujarat, India). The company will invest about USD 56.7 million into the project. GACL is set to boost the production of caustic soda, caustic potash, phosphoric acid and chloromethane.
