Solvay SA Launched Polyvinylidene Fluoride production in China

CHEMMONITOR.COM – Belgium-based chemicals and plastics manufacturer Solvay SA has recently launched the production of “Solef” polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) at its plant located at the site in Changshu (Jiangsu province, China). It’s the company’s third PVDF facility in the world. Solvay also runs plants at the sites in Tavaux (France) and West Deptford (NJ, USA).

The precise annual production capacity of the Changshu plant remains unclear, however it is estimated at appr. 5,000 tonnes.
