SP Chemicals Idled Plant In China for Four Weeks

CHEMMONITOR.COM – Singapore-based company SP Chemicals Pte. Ltd. has recently idled its styrene monomer (SM) facility, located at the site in Taixing (Jiangsu province, China), due to maintenance works.

The plant went off-stream in early November 2017, and is set to remain shut for appr. 4 weeks. The SM plant’s annual production capacity reaches 320,000 metric tons.

SP Chemicals Pte. Ltd. is recognized as the largest ion-membrane chlor-alkali and aniline producer in China.
