NPC to Expand Methanol Production

CHEMMONITOR.COM - By 2019, Iranian state-owned National Petrochemical Company (NPC) plans to boost methanol production by 10 million tonnes (17%). In 2013, Iran manufactured about 60 million tonnes of petrochemicals.

The Iranian authorities are going to further develop the Iranian petchem industry.  Currently, there are seven methanol projects under way in the South Pars. They are financed primarily by China.
