Mining Industry in Kenya Faces New Charges

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Under the policy accepted by Kenya’s government in July 2013, fluorspar royalty was fixed at the level of 2 %. The charge is likely to reach 3 % within the period of July 2015 – June 2017, while in 2019 it is expected to achieve 5 %.

The levies will also influence soda ash and salt mining industries.
