Rio Tinto to Invest in Project in Serbia

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Rio Tinto plc, a multinational metals and mining corporation, possesses 100 million tonnes of jadarite resources that contain large lithium and borate reserves located in Serbia. The company is able to provide about 19 million tonnes of lithium and borates.

The company is planning to explore the Jadar valley in Serbia, which has the vastest deposits of lithium globally. For this end, the firm is going to evaluate the viability of investment into the project.

The company has already extracted the samples of jadarite from the deposits situated in Lozinica village, in Serbia.
