New Gas Chemical Complex is Under Construction in Kazakhstan

CHEMMONITOR.COM - The integrated gas chemical complex construction project is to be implemented in Atyrau region. The project will be divided into two phases.

The first phase involves launching of the polypropylene production line, with a design capacity of 500,000 metric tons of polypropylene per year. Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc., with headquarters in Kazakhstan, is responsible for the realisation of the first phase. Polypropylene production is to be launched in 2015. The investment is estimated at USD 2.03 billion.
