CHEMMONITOR.COM - In 2013, the US is predicted to become a world leader in terms of oil supply. The country is likely to manufacture over 12 million barrels of liquids per day in 2013, what is 300,000 barrels and 1.6 million more than Saudi Arabia and Russia respectively.

Horizontal drilling together with hydraulic fracturing discovered supplies in shale formations, thereby improving the country’s position as a supplier of oils.

In the last four years, the production of shale liquids in the USA exceeded 3 million barrels per day.
