Asahi Kasei to Start Up Polybutadiene Plant Based on a New Process

CHEMMONITOR.COM – Asahi Kasei has recently elaborated a new production process for butadiene (BD). Butene is used as a raw material.

Now the company intends to build a new manufacturing unit where the new process will be employed.

It will be a plant with annual output of 0.05 million tonnes. The facility is to be situated in Mizushima (Japan). The output is planned to be used in manufacturing of synthetic rubbers. The unit is scheduled to start up in about three years.
